Capital Allocation Experts

Our Journey Through Capital Markets

Six years of building practical financial education that actually matters. Here's how we got started, where we've been, and what comes next.

2019

The Beginning: Three Friends and a Spreadsheet

It started with Riley Thornfield, Marcus Chen, and Sarah Mitchell arguing about portfolio allocation over coffee in Canberra. None of us could find educational resources that explained capital allocation without either dumbing it down to "buy index funds" or overwhelming beginners with derivatives trading. So we built our own learning framework — initially just for ourselves. What began as shared Google Sheets and weekend discussions turned into something bigger when other people started asking for access to our research notes.

2021

First Real Students, First Real Lessons

We launched our first structured learning program with 47 participants. The feedback was brutal but honest — people wanted more practical case studies and less theoretical framework. This year taught us that effective financial education isn't about teaching formulas; it's about helping people develop judgment. We completely rewrote our curriculum based on what actually worked in those early sessions. By December 2021, we had refined our approach to focus on decision-making processes rather than just technical analysis.

2024

Expansion and Real-World Application

Last year marked our transition from small-group workshops to comprehensive educational programs. We established partnerships with three Australian universities and began offering structured learning paths for different experience levels. Our research into behavioral finance and decision-making psychology became central to how we teach capital allocation. We also started working with financial advisors who wanted to improve their clients' understanding of investment principles. The most rewarding part has been watching students apply these concepts to their own financial situations with confidence.

Looking Forward: 2025 and Beyond

We're expanding our educational offerings with new programs launching in September 2025. Our focus remains the same: teaching practical capital allocation skills that help people make better financial decisions. We're not promising quick riches or guaranteed returns — we're committed to building financial literacy that lasts.
